I am sadly selling my beautiful 1930s Antique Merrythought bear. He is 25 inchs in height and in near original condition. He is unusual as his merrythought wishbone button is on his back. He is 5 way jointed and made from a wavy mohair. He looks like he has as some point been wearing clothes and his mohair is slightly darker on his body than his head and limbs but he retains a good covering of mohair. His pads and paws covering is original but there are a couple of nibble holes in his hand pad. There is no leakage and they are still strong and secure. His claw stitching looks to be replaced, this has been done very well. His nose stitching looks original but he has a few strands missing. His merrythought foot label is still attached but is coming away, this just needs a couple of stitches if you so wish. I do not know if his eyes are original but they suit him well.Please study the photos as these form part of the description.
