~ Charlie Cuddles -CUTE 1920’s Old Antique Chiltern Mohair Teddy Bear in clothes
This sweet poppet is Charlie Cuddles. He’s a very gentle and sweet teddy bear who makes you smile! He is fully jointed, stands around 21 inches tall and was made by the British Company Chiltern in the 1920’s.
Charlie Cuddles (a nickname he has a acquired as he loves receiving cuddles almost as much as giving) has, I imagine, had a wonderful life where he’s been loved and been part of a family. He is covered in a golden mohair with good coverage, with patches which have thinned (which I actually love). He’s very well stuffed fully with woodwool, retains his original nose & mouth stitching and although one eye has been chipped in the past, both are original beautiful 1920’s painted back glass eyes!
He has superb condition cotton pads and retains all his claws – I think he’s had a lazy life and was carried rather than being made to teddy walk!
Charlie likes to spend his days lounging around (sometimes getting playful on the furniture!) and snuggling up in his Sunday knitwear. He’s really now just looking for that special owner who has that little space in their home .. and may like to … cuddle. x
