Poppy – Cute Chiltern Hugmee Antique Mohair English Teddy Bear in vintage dress
This pretty little poppet is Poppy! She is an English Ted made by Chiltern in the 1930’s. She stands 16 inches tall and is fully stuffed with woodwool. Sheis fully jointed. She has antique glass eyes, original nose and mouth stitching. She has good condition cotton twill pads and retains all her claws. She has a growler which currently doesn’t work, although it feels like one of those growlers that may work again one day with a bit of jiggling and love (i’ve owned many of those type of bears ha).
She is covered in blonde mohair, and plans to relocate to her new abode in her vintage sunday wear. She’s a really cute little bear and certainly merries up a shelf! She is pictured here messing around in the garden with her sister Pansy who is also for sale.
If you’re after a fluffy, sturdy, fairly weighty pretty bear dressed in a pretty outfit with antique charm – Pops is your teddygirl. x
