Cecilia is a gorgeous old Chad Valley bear who dates to the 40’s/50’s. She is a whopping 21 inches tall but looks larger – she is a well built old girl. She is fully jointed & a mix of woodwool & kapok stuffed. She has 4 replaced pads – they are odd so have been done at different times – they are neatly done so I haven’t unpicked to look beneath (sometimes you are lucky enough to find the original label). She has a good covering of mohair with some thinning (she is about 65% covered) & she has had a few small stitched repairs but is overall solid & strong. She has a beautiful old face full of character & will come as pictured in her old handmade sailor’s dress (made in the 30’s) complete with Nelson miniature. Cecilia is not perfect but she is a lovely strong old bear in need of a home and would be the centrepiece of any collection – can you give ehr the home she deserves??
