A fabulous old bear with oodles of character – I think he may be an old Chad Valley bear but can’t be entirely sure – he dates to the 20’s/30’s. He is 20 inches tall & would have been fully jointed but his head has been stitched in place. He is a mix of woodwool & kapok stuffed with a need for some additional stuffing to his legs. He has original pads which have a little wear but are perfectly serviceable and a not too bad covering of mohair – his fabric has darkened with age turning him into quite a brown bear. He has a shaved, pronounced muzzle & replacement button eyes which I think suit him ; he also has a piece of one ear missing. all of this makes him sound terrible but he is still a strong, robust old boy & he oozes charm. He will come as pictured in his nautical dungarees & badge xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
