Cute little 1920’s -1930’s Farnell soft toy Pekingese dog.
This early Farnell dog has been much loved as you can see from the photos but he is a real character with all of his original features intact, including his glass eyes although one of them appears to have been glued into place. He is unjointed, wood wool stuffed and measures 9″ long from his nose to the base of his tail and he stands at 7.5″ tall.
His mohair plush is thinning in places with a few tiny bare spots but I would estimate he has retained a good 90% coverage overall. His nose and mouth stitching is in good condition and he also has a worn and torn red felt tongue poking out and he has such a playful and happy expression and that I would think he is meant to be a puppy!He is a lovely characterful little dog and would make a great companion to a larger bearor as an addition to any hug of bears and soft toys.
He no longer has a label but I am positive he is a Farnell toy as I have previously had others with labels and he dates from the 1920’s through to the 1930’s.
