BERTIE is a truly giant vintage teddy bear, measuring a whopping 36″ from the tips of his ears to the tips of his toes. Made from pale golden mohair, Bertie has plastic orange and black glass eyes (although intact they have deteriorated over the years). Black embroidered nose and mouth. Poor Bertie has several bald patches, mainly on his legs and thinning fur. He also has several holes where the straw filling is coming through (the worst near his foot – please see pic).
Saying all that, Bertie is a really lovely old gentleman who has obviously been well loved – can you give him that TLC he truly deserves!
