Meet Bertie, a confident, manly old mohair bear, possibly English and dating to the 1930s. He is 16″ tall, firmly stuffed with glass eyes and hand stitched nose and mouth. His ears are set very low on his head which reminds me if the earmy mouse eared bears by Deans, but his general shape is quite different. His mohair coverage is excellent, although it is flattened he still has a good 95% coverage. He has a non working growler in his tummy. Like all my bears he is clean and sweet smelling. He would make a lovely unusual addition to any old bear collection.
