BEAUTIFUL RARE ANTIQUE 1920S BLUE MOHAIR CHAD VALLEY RABBIT 15½” 5 WAY JOINTED
This adorable rare blue antique Chad Valley bunny rabbit dates from the 1920s and measures approximately 15½ inches in height (including his ears) and 11½ inches in height (not including his ears). He is five way jointed (head & limbs) with all joints being in very good firm condition. He is made of blue mohair except for the front of his body which is made of white/cream mohair. His mohair retains 99.8% c0verage and excellent original colour and is beautifully clean and soft. His head is filled with wood wool, whilst the rest of his body is kapok stuffed. His stuffing is still very firmly and evenly distributed. He has white/cream velvet lined ears. He has large feet with original velvet paw pads in very good condition. Both paw pads retain their original card linings. His hands do not have paw pads, but this is correct/how he was made. All four paw pads retains original claw stitching (four claws on each paw). He is very well balanced and able to stand perfectly well on his own. He has original large (stitched in) clear glass eyes and original pink stitched inverted V shaped nose and muzzle.He no longer has his makers label or his trademark button, but his pedigree is unmistakable … and he is guaranteed to be correctly identified.Please take the time to look at the 22 listing photos before bidding as they form an important part of the description.He has hardly any playwear and other than a slight small mark on the tip of his left foot paw pad which is hardly noticeable and a small amount of very minor slight browning to the edges of his velvet ear lining which is age related, caused by the card lining inside his ears I cannot fault him . . . he is in excellent condition, and although it nearly 100 years since he was made, this beautiful and rare bunny rabbit still looks almost ‘as new’.He is wearing an antique blue crochetwork collar trimmed with vintage blue and gold braid and fastened by antique blue silk ribbons, and a charming embossed decorative silver bell which I made especially for him. THIS DELIGHTFUL RARE BLUE ANTIQUE CHAD VALLEY RABBIT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
