~Antique 1920s (possibly earlier) Steiff??Teddy Bear~
Mr Egerton is a large 22″ handsome old chap and has been well and truly loved.
His previous owner loved him so much they made a fur body warmer to keep him intacted…I would love to know what’s underneath but the outfit has been very well made, it really would be a shame to take it off as I feel this is part of his character (his body does feels very sturdy).
Woodwool filled.
No restoration (small hole in seam of leg and ear needs a few stitches)
His paw pads look as though they have been mended with leather? which is showing lots of wear and holes.
The eyes look like original boot buttons.
Big feet, long arms and long nose.
The photos really do not do him justice…he is a splendid old bear.
Mohair loss.
No nasty odours.
From a smoke/pet free home.
