This is a gorgeous mohair 1930’s Chad Valley Magna bear measuring approx. 14 inches
He has such a winning charm about his handsome face. Half of his distinctive Magna nose has frayed but is all original. His eyes are black and brown glass. These are in a very good original condition and are completely intact with no looseness at all.His mohair coverage is good too. Some areas are bald, some have a good coverage. Typical signs of having been very much loved in his younger years. He has no nasty smells about him. He is fully 5 way jointed. All joints move freely and firmly with no looseness or sagging in any of them. His body, limbs have no displacement and are still in good shape. He has what feels to be an inoperable voice box. His pads are linen and considering his advancing years of approaching the grand age of 90 years are in an amazing excellent original condition with no holes, rips, repairs etc., He still has 3 claws to his right foot. Two claws to his left foot with the signs of the other claw still there. His hand paws have one claw each intact with parts of the other claws still there.
He really is a fabulous bear with absolutely no repairs or restoration work having been done on him.A magnificent honest 1930s Chad Valley Magna bear that is second to none.
