Felix the Cat is a funny-animal cartoon character created way back in 1919,during the the silent film era. The anthropomorphic black cat with his black body, white eyes, and giant grin, coupled with the surrealism of the situations in which his cartoons place him, combine to make Felix one of the most recognized cartoon characters in film history. Felix was the first character from animation to attain a level of popularity sufficient to draw movie audiences.Felix has a somewhat disputed origin….Australian cartoonist/film entrepreneur Pat Sullivan,owner of the Felix character, claimed during his lifetime to be its creator. American animator Otto Messner, Sullivan’s lead animator, has also been credited as such.What is certain is that Felix emerged from Sullivan’s studio, and cartoons featuring the character enjoyed success and popularity in the popular culture.

FACE HAS THAT WONDERFUL EARLY APPEARANCE….VERY MENACING!
HEAD CAN BE CAREFULLY TURNED
STILL HAS HIS LARGE GLASS EYES,BUTTON NOSE AND THAT CHARACTERISTIC “TOOTHY GRIN”….AND HIS FRAGILE EARS.
FELIX EVEN RETAINS SOME OF HIS ORIGINAL WHISKERS.
FELT BODY,WITH STRAW LIKE STUFFING AND LIMBS WITH WIRE INNER….TO POSE IN VARIED POSITIONS.
FELIX IS VERY OLD NOW,BUT STILL IN ORIGINAL CONDITION……..HE HAS SOME NATURAL AGE & PLAY WEAR,WITH SOME COLOUR FADE AND SOME TINY WEAR HOLES AT LEFT SIDE OF HIS HEAD (NOTHING TERRIBLE, AS HIS FILLING IS STILL HELD WITHIN AND THANKFULLY WITH NO ATTEMPTS AT REPAIR).
AS EXPECTED,THE WIRE LIMBS AND TAIL ARE SOMEWHAT STIFFENED AFTER ALL THIS TIME,BUT WILL MOVE WITH GREAT CARE.
HIS HEAD CAN SWIVEL LEFT OR RIGHT….AGAIN WITH CARE;AND HE WILL STAND ON DISPLAY.
