This auction is for a lovely antique golden mohair British teddy bear. I think he dates from the late 1920s, early 1930s and was probably made, either by Farnell, possibly Chad Valley.Ted stands 15″ tall, has glass eyes, which I think are original, they’ve certainly been in him for some time. He has a clipped, pronounced muzzle, with original nose/mouth stitching.His paw pads are cloth fabric and although slightly worn, are still in fairly good condition.He is filled with wood-wool and Kapok and there is a large, inoperative lead tilt growler in his tummy. I have included a photo of the growler mechanism, so please take a look at the relevant image.In a couple of photos ted holds a charming antique photograph of two children and a teddy bear in a pram. I do not know if the teddy in the pram is this bear, but the picture is included in the sale. The bear has such a gentle, friendly face and he really deserves to find a good new home. He is not 100% perfect, so please take time to view all of the photographs and to read all the item specifics, description and condition report, prior to bidding.Postage is 5 in the UK and about 18 to any international destination.
