This charming Antique or Vintage Chad Valley Golden Mohair Teddy Bear measures approximately 13 inches from ear to foot and weighs approximately 369 grams.I believe that he dates to around 1930 – 1950 or thereabouts.
He is 5 way jointed and sits well unaided.He appears to be part filled with woodwool or straw as he makes a scrunchy sound when squeezed.He is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear commensurate with age and use.This basically consists of one glass eye being a little loose, a loose stitch to his nose, one arm is a little looser than the other and he has generalised wear/rubbing to his mohair.His pads appear original and have some rubbing.Two have small holes.There are no claws.
