This totally charming Antique or Vintage Velvet Black Cat Teddy Bear dates I believe to around 1930 or thereabouts.What I particularly love about this Cat is the paper label attached to him which reads “To Bridie with Love. In memory of many happy hours. May this “TOM-CAT” bring you luck. Rosie”
He stands approximately 20 cm high to his ear tip and measures approximately 23 cm in length.His eyes are glass and his nose is hand stitched.He weighs approximately 144 grams and is in good vintage condition, with only very minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.He wears what appears to be his original faded ribbon with a bell attached.
