A gorgeous, much-loved antique Merrythought teddy bear, with rusted (unreadable) earbutton and embroidered footlabel c.1930s. She measures 46 cms (18″) tall, and has kept all her original features, including amber glass eyes (now glued in), and a black-stitched nose and mouth.
Her felt pads are worn with various repairs and a few holes, but she’s a good strong teddy with a most engaging smile. Stuffed with kapok, teddy’s joints all work fine, though her head is a tad wobbly but secure. Although her pale gold mohair has faded to blonde over time, it’s nevertheless an attractive colour, and she still has plenty of fur, with most loss to the front of her torso.
This very pretty bear is wearing a charming lace dress layered with petticoats, and pinned with two silk daffodils. Her head ribbon is printed with roses and has been specially aged to make it look vintage. Thanks for looking x.
TRACKED POSTAGE TO EUROPE IS 16 GBP, AND REST OF WORLD 22 GBP.
