Lottiec1904
Lottie is a charming very early antique Steiff teddy bear with teeny blank button in ear c1904 measuring around 20″. She is known as a cone nosed Steiff bear; the first teddy bear produced by Steiff after the Rod bear. As you can see by the pictures Lottie has been very well loved with a replaced foot and repair to one hand ( see pics). She is softly stuffed with kapok making her very light and cuddly. She has the remains of her nose stitching, all pads have been naively replaced and she has her original boot button eyes although one has a scratch on it. She has extremely long arms which is a trait of very early steiff teddy bears. She is far from pristine but still has lots of charm and is one step on from the rod bear and so is quite rare.
