1940’s CHILTERN BEAR – 65CM (25.5″) TALL
An attractive Chiltern bear in overall good condition but with some age related wear.
The bear has amber and black glass eyes. He has a mini chip to his left eye, see photo 7.
He has faded black nose and mouth stitching and four black claws to each hand and foot pad.
The beige mohair is reasonable but worn in places. Small bald patches back both ears, right side of head, upper back,and around his nose. Please see photos re condition.
The bear has worn felted hand and foot pads – but these remain sound enough.
The bear does not have a label but you can see where the small printed label would once have been at the back of his right foot.
He has a non working press squeaker in his tummy.
A good example of a large Floppy Eared Chiltern made just after the Second World War.
