This is Milly, a lovely Old CHILTERN Teddy Bear dating to the 1930’s who is looking for a very special new home, with someone who will love her as she is, or is able to give her some tlc.
Milly has black and amber glass eyes and the original black nose and mouth stitching.
She is made from pale gold mid-length, wavy mohair and still has a very good coverage of 95% coverage of fur. I can feel a squeaker in her tummy, but this no longer works.
Milly has the original felt paw and foot pads with black claw stitching on her paws and foot pads.
Condition – The top of Milly’s left ear was missing when she came to live with me, but I’ve always felt it added to her character and is part of her past; so haven’t repaired it. The end of her right paw pad has torn and the filling is exposed, although not leaking out. Finally, there is a small hole at the tip of left foot pad, this is secure and I’ve never felt it needed any attention or repair.
She is fully jointed at her head, arms and legs and measures 14 inches tall.
Milly is a very sweet example of an early 1930’s CHILTERN bear and a lovely addition to any hug of old bears. However I am trying to downsize my collection a little, and have reluctantly decided it’s time for her to find a new home.
