Very rare 17 inch blonde mohair bear with the earliest ‘Made in England by Merrythought’ woven label. Ted is in a well loved condition with loss of fur to his body and head. Good coverage on his arms and legs. Nose stitching original and still in very good condition. One of his glass eyes is original the other has been replaced. Early bear with carded foot pads and lined under the felt which had preserved his original webbed pads and claws. His stuffing is beginning to perish which makes him a bit saggy. Very Exciting find and a must for any Merrythought collector or bear lover.
