A Chiltern Hugmee bear dating from the 1930s, has the two outer upper nose stitches of this era. Original nose and mouth stitching, one or both eyes have been replaced as they are different sizes, however they are true to the era having clear backs.
He has a patchy covering of mohair with bald areas, mainly to his back and back of legs. His back has been opened, probably to remove his squeaker as it is missing(if he had one), it has been neatly restitched. Linen pads all with four claw stitches. Five way disc jointed. Head firmly stuffed with woodwool and body softly stuffed with kapok.
He measures 17″ from top of head to heel.
