Meet Bernard, a wonderfully worn Bing sentry Teddy c1912 bear measuring 16″ these bears appear to stand on their tippy toes hence the name sentry. As you can see from the pictures he’s as bald as a badger but has managed to hang on to his charm. He has the remains of his nose stitching and glass eyes ( one is loose the other has been glued in at some point but they are original). He wears a lovely old outfit that I suspect he has worn for many a year. Bernard has a now non working growler that now clunks when he is shaken. a lovely pointy nose, foot pads are old repairs hand pads are replaced.
These wonderful charismatic Bing teddy bears are getting so hard to find.
