I’ve no idea of the maker of this lovely teddy bear, but he’s a real character, and a very early bear with his boot button eyes. He also has his original nose and mouth stitching. He has an unusually long body, which may help to identify his make.
He wanted to wear his little frilled neck ruff for the pictures to look his best.
He measures 14 inches and is 5 way jointed with all joints working well.
His hand pads have been replaced a long time ago with leather, and done very neatly, but his felt foot pads show signs of wear, with the excelsior stuffing exposed, so these will need doing.
Teddy has some mohair loss, mainly on his torso (see photos)
His body has an internal growler but this no longer works.
He is straw filled (excelsior) throughout, and is in clean condition with no unpleasant smells, and comes from a non smoking home.
He has such a cheeky face , and a very happy bear with loads of character, willing to travel internationally as long as he finds a nice, loving home!
