Adorable antique Chiltern teddy bear.Dating 1920-1930.Measuring 15″ from pads to tips of ears.Five way jointed and all joints turn and are firm.Teddy is filled with wood wool to head and mostly kapok else where with an inoperative squeaker to tummy.Original stitched nose and mouth.Glass eyes are vintage replacements and are on wire stalks so could be changed easily.All four stitched claws are intact.Large carded feet with original velveteen pads which show some wear to the right tip with card peeping through.Hand pads also showing a little wear with the right hand side having an old basic repair.Please note the spot of wear to muzzle which is approx 1cm square.Mohair is overall very good with only minor thinning here and there including to tummy where squeaker has been pushed.A lovely example of an early Chiltern teddy bear who is almost 100 years old.From smoke free home.Any questions please ask..Please note this sale is for the teddy bear only the toy box is NOT included in this sale.
