Willy is such a fabulous bear but definitely one for the lovers of the tattier old teds – in spite of damage he is full of character. He is very old – pre-1920 and a very early bear. He is just over 14 inches tall and fully jointed – he is completely straw stuffed. His foot pads are replaced and his hands have been stitched over – they could be restored as once they are unpicked some of the original is there. Willy is threadbare and his fabric has darkened in places with age. He has also had lots of stitched repairs. Willy has boot button eyes which are a little loose but all intact. All of this makes him sound extremely delapitated but he is actually a fairly strong, sturdy bear considering what he has been through. He will come wearing his striped suit and faded pin – he’s the guy who “put the gump in gumption”! Can you give this fabulous old character the home he deserves ??? xxxxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
