Here is my Twyford bear in lovely condition. Thick mohair coverage, very slight loss around nose, rexine has almost disappeared from paws and feet but material still in good condition, glass eyes, working growler and label still attached. This bear is 16″ (40.5cm)
high. A great collectors bear.
Very brief history of Twyford bears:
In 1964, all production of Farnell toys was transferred to Hastings a subsiduary company called Acton Toycraft which took over the Alpha Works lease and renamed it Twyford Works. This was working until 1968.
Unfortunately it is time to downsize and I am reluctantly selling my collection over a period of time.
