Hello!Iam a handsome vintage Jointed bear, 16 (40.5cm) tall with an unusual openmouth.Imay be from Austria, and probably date from post 1945. Imsoft stuffed, and my fur is pale beige short-pile mohair plush.Mystuffing is not wood-wool, but some sort of fibre and I have a working tilt-growler, justlike Austrian Fechter Teddies.Ihave cheeky Amber glass eyes and an unusualopen mouth with peach-coloured felt palate.Idid have a felt tongue once, but none of it survives.Ihave quite short sturdy limbs, and my paws do not have claws.Myfeet have inverse pointed tear-shaped paws, which seem to be made ofleatherette.Myinner ears and nose/muzzle are of a darker beige colour. Whenmy present owner rescued me I was in a fairly rough state. She has cleaned mecarefully, and tidied me up, keeping everything as original as possible. Themain picture shows me in the garden, hiding among the ivy, looking for mischief.Theadditional pictures show me from other less flattering angles, so that you cansee what kind of condition I am in.
