Meet Paddy and Chi-Chi, two old panda pals from, I think, the 1940s. Paddy is 19 and made from some kind of cotton plush, which is a little worn and the whiter areas are a bit discoloured. He has a felt patch on the back of one leg and a few areas on his head where holes have been darned with white cotton thread. He is stuffed with wood wool, but has a few saggy areas, especially in his arms. He is fully jointed, but one arm and leg have been stitched in place. His nose and mouth stitching is original, but his blue glass eyes probably arent. He has a hollow area in his back where he may have had a squeaker or growler. Chi-Chi is the smaller 13 bear – probably 1940s-50s – and made of some sort of silk plush. He is unjointed and is stuffed with wood wool. The stuffing at the top of his legs has sagged, so he will sit down. His eyes are original amber glass, but his nose and mouth stitching are replacements. These are two dear old pandas who are looking for a new home together.Really sorry, will only post within the UK – no international postage.
