Meet Fennel and Fig, two sweet old vintage bear pals. Fennel is 19 1/2 tall probably from the 1930s-40s. She has a few tufts of her mohair remaining, but lots of bald areas. Shes been in the wars a bit and has a few replacement parts: her ears are matching in colour but made from new mohair fabric on the front and beige felt at the back; she has one arm which has been completely replaced by a felt one and her paw pads have all been replaced with beige felt; her nose is black felt and she has new mouth stitching; her eyes are replacements, too, I think, as they are amber plastic ones which have been glued in place. She has noticeable stitching at the top of each leg (see pics) and one foot has been re-stuffed with softer stuffing – the rest of her is solidly stuffed with wood wool. She is fully jointed and all are moving well, even the replacement arm. She has quite a pronounced, rounded snout. She has long arms and longish slim legs with small feet. She once had a growler/squeaker (no longer working) which is rattling about in her tummy. Despite her little issues, she is a lovely solid bear. Fig is a tiny 6 bear in a cinnamon coloured plush silk – some of which remains but he has a lot of bald areas, too. He has wired joints, which all move (arms move at the same time, so guess theyre connected) but his legs are really quite loose. He is stuffed with wood wool. Hes missing an ear but has his original amber eyes (think theyre glass, but because theyre small, its hard to tell) and his original nose and mouth stitching. They are lovely old pals who are looking for a new home together.Really sorry, will only post within the UK – no international postage.
