VINTAGE TEDDY BEAR TATTYBEAR. Possibly Chiltern??
A lovely 18″ bear with a small covering of mohair apart from his tummy, which has obviously been well loved. In this area you can make out his growler, which doesn’t work.
He is quite firm & poses nicely, small seam opening by top of right ear.
His arms pose well.
His 4 pads are in good condition, along with original stitched claws..apart from remnants on left paw.
He has quite a cheeky look with original bright amber glass eyes, held in with original thread tied at back of head.
A bit grubby around his nose.
Origina stitching for nose..looking more brown than black due to age.
Evidence of new thread, suggesting that he has had replacement neck/ shoulder discs??
No nasty smells, in my opinion he has a lovely vintage smell..if you know what I mean??
I have given him a bright yellow ribbon to make him look a little bit more special.
He would make a lovely addition to a teddy ‘hug’.
