This gently worn old bear needs a good home where his lost left eye can be replaced.
I have put his height at 10″ which is the measurement from the top of his ears to his pads.
I am no expert on teddies but he has the same type of fur that my husband’s old bear had and that was in the early 1950s. His nose has the remnants of black thread but his mouth is beautifully deliniated still. He has a definite muzzle and I believe his one eye is glass as it feels cool to the touch, although I am no expert. Some of his muzzle has got a little threadbare as you can see and a little darker on his forehead.
His arms and legs are nicely disc jointed and move freely. His pads may once have been velvet but have worn down to the cotton backing now. His claw threads are nearly all there – just missing one on his left foot. His head is not jointed. He is wood wool or straw filled and is quite solid.
He looks a bit sad but will no doubt cheer up when he is given a replacement eye by his new owner.
