Meet Patchy the bear and his little cat friend, Pusskins. Not sure of the maker for either of them, but Id say they probably date from the 1940s. Patchy is 20 tall. He has very little of his mohair remaining, but he does have his original red rexine paw pads (all rather worn and frayed in places). He is mostly bald and there are several stained areas on the fabric. He has original nose and mouth stitching, but I dont think his amber glass eyes are original. Hes stuffed with wood wool throughout. He is fully jointed and all are moving quite well. He has a small hole on his shoulder. Although a Patchy does have his nose in the air a bit, hes actually a very friendly bear and doesnt like to be without his pal, Pusskins. Pusskins is 7 tall and 10 long from his nose to the tip of his tail. Hes unjointed and is made from blue/grey mohair, although this is quite patchy and bald throughout. Hes stuffed with wood wool. He has a small hole on his back, just above his tail. His eyes look to be original as theyre threaded through to the back of his head. They are amber glass with white edges, in a realistic style. His nose and mouth stitching is original, too. Hes missing his ears, which would have been in grey felt, I think. These are two lovely old friends who are looking for a new home together.Really sorry, will only post within the UK – no international postage.
