Meet Rose, a rather unusual 17 vintage bear. I dont know her maker, but think shes from around the 1920s. She has some remaining mohair – the remaining fur is quite long and was once pink, but now more of a pale blond – a little pink still shows around her joints. She has recently replaced ears made of new pale blond mohair, which look about right. Her paw pads appear to be brown leather, which is shiny and quite rubbed/worn in places – no actual holes or tears, though. She is very firmly stuffed – wood wool? She is fully jointed and all are moving smoothly. Her nose, mouth and paw stitching all seems to be original and she has clear glass eyes, which may, or may not, be original. Her snout is long and pointed and she has a prominent hump. Her arms are long and scooped at the end and her legs are quite long and slim. She has a small hole just below her right ear. Her growler is rattling inside her and no longer working. I think she is a bear of good quality, and shes looking for a new home. A lovely bear!Really sorry, will only post within the UK.
