Vintage Straw Filled Dog Teddy Bear With Metal Bars to help Stand He is straw filled with the normal metal bars within his legs, toy makers in these years were well known for doing this because it helped to strengthen the legs and made it easier for the teddy bear to stand and also harder for children to damageI think this was made in the 1920’s / 30’s but I am not 100% sureHe is made of mohair, stitched on wool nose/mouth and his original glass eyes He has the usual age related signs of wear to his mohair and will need to be sewn in three places due to small holes, his neck, his one front leg (where the tummy joins the leg) and his front paw, also the bar within the one leg that helps him stand as come though his paw Remember he is approx. over 90 years old He is 100% genuine and would make a great addition to anyone’s collection He belonged to myself but I am having a clear out of all my collectable teddy’s, so have a look at the others I have listed Postage and packing 4.95 signed or collection is more than welcome
