Gorgeous vintage Steiff Llama standing approx 17cm tall, made from lush mohair, with velvet feet & muzzle and felt ears. He retains his original Glass eyes, Original Chest Tag (bit worn) and Early Fine Script Steiff Button in his ear, complete with yellow stock tag (1317.00) which can accurately date his production between 1959-1964. (please see photo taken from The Steiff Sortiment) Although the same stock tag number was also used between 1965-1967 by the mid 1960s the Script Lettering on the Button became a bit thicker and glass eyes were replaced by the use of plastic ones, confirming this little Llama with his glass eyes & fine script button is from the earlier production period.
I am also listing a larger sized Llama in a separate auction.
Sadly we are downsizing to a smaller home & I am having to find new homes for some of my precious bears/accessories/teddy memorabilia from my own private collection.
