20″ Old Jointed Golden Blonde Mohair Teddy Bear
with Wood Wool Filling & Growler,
circa early 1950’s.
This auction is for a delightful vintage period teddy bear. Made in Ireland by Pedigree Soft Toy Company (Line Brother). This is an early example with jointed long arms, golden mohair fur, wood wool filling & internal growler. Plastic amber eyes, mould plastic nose, black ‘T’ stitched mouth & round felt pew pads. It has some remains of it’s original blue text ‘Pedigree’ label stitched in to it’s back seam. This bear comes direct from a recent estate clearance & is sold in as found vintage condition. In lovely age relatedcondition with some surface fur loss patches. It’s style & material used to make this toy helps us date this bear to the early 1950’s. Overall a wonderful vintage bear by a well known maker in super age related display condition.
Overall a beautiful piece in stunning condition with a natural patina.
