Vintage Deans Teddy Bear

probably c 1957 – 61
From their origins in London in 1903, Deans have always been at the forefront of toy design and manufacture and were the first British company to produce teddy bears as early as 1915 (as documented) and probably even earlier from 1906.
Deans made many types of toys from rag books – for which they were initially famous – to beautifully crafted dolls, teddy bears and even Mickey Mouse and other characters.
In the late 20th Century, Deans were to be found in Pontypool, Gwent, Wales where the production of limited edition collector teddy bears began and made the company one of the best loved teddy bear manufacturers in the UK.
Deans bears are now manufactured overseas, but the quality is still first class.
Sadly downsizing so I am selling masses of stuff.
Please appreciate this is vintage, not brand new but it is very lovely nevertheless
