Vintage antique old teddy bears. Two lovely bears for sale;A Vintage antique old Sooty growler 1950s teddy bear. This distinguished,portly, pot bellied bear has plenty to say for himself ! Just tilt him gently to hear him “growl”. He stands 17 inches tall. He has golden yellow mohair, black, rexine type pads, and hand stitched features.His head is firmly stuffed with wood wool and his body is firm stuffed but soft. He has unusual fabric type ears and some thinning to his fur coverage.This English bear has poise and charm.
Vintage antique old sooty baby bear. She stands about 12 inches tall, is straw filled with glass eyes. She has stitched features and a lovely smile.There is good fur coverage, paws intact, with some minor repairs given to the ears.She is slightly lighter in colour than in the pictures show and a bit lighter than the bigger bear. I have portrayed this in the picture of her on her own.Together these bears are a lovely addition for the collector.All my vintage bears will show signs of age and lovewear.None are intended to be used as toys, as they do not have safety features associated with modern teddy bears.
