VINTAGE ALRESFORD CRAFTS TEDDY BEAR – SMILEY FACE HONEY BEAR
This is Bert – a lovely vintage boy who was made in the late 1970’s by Alresford Crafts in Hampshire. This style of bear was known as a Honey Bear and was specially designed with a flat bottom to make it easy for him to sit down with being propped up.
Bert is a warm brown colour with a medium pile – he could do with a bit of a spruce up – nice big brown eyes, stitched nose and smiley mouth on a raised muzzle. His pads are a slightly shorter pile which I think gives them definition. His arm and leg joints are flat – presumably to make him easier to sit down and pose, Original label on his flat bottom. Approx full length 26 inches.
He is made of polyester which makes him machine washable – his label states he can be tumble dried but I have never done this!
Good overall used condition, as stated could do with a brush and tidy up.
Very lovable and in need of a new home.
