This is a large 30 inch/ 76 cms vintage 1950s straw-filled teddy bear, who has glass eyes and stitched black wool features.
This is jointed with moving arms and legs, the head able to be turned from side to side. The golden brown pile is dirty and is shown as acquired, not having been cleaned in any way. The bear has suffered some damage (detailed pic #6): the right arm is seen half missing its straw. The cloth is still present and so this could be remade. Another hole is seen in the left arm (pic #7) and there is a tear near one of the ears (pic #2).
Maker unknown but this is thought to be a British bear.
