Vintage 1950s? Golden Mohair Teddy Bear, Chad Valley? Very Appealing, 23″ Tall.
Straw head
Glass eyes on wires
fairly soft filled body although it feels like there is some straw in his body.
Fully jointed
Black stitched nose and mouth
Brown velvet paw and foot pads
He has a disc inside his back so presumably he would have growled but this is not now working.
This bear still has much of his original golden colour. The mohair has worn away in some places though so please see photos. There are also a few places where his body is becoming quite threadbare.>There have also been some repairs to his body so again look at photos carefully.

Although this bear no longer has his label, there are other very similar bears on the internet that are Chad Valley and this is what leads me to believe this is a Chad Valley bear rather than another brand.Posted with eBay Mobile
