This lovely vintage teddy bear has no maker’s marks or labels but we believe him to be a Chiltern Hug-Me bear. He has mohair fur, fabric pads, glass eyes, black claw stitching and a black stitched nose and mouth. He is soft stuffed with a hard stuffed snout and he has what we believe to be a squeaker inside his tummy that is no longer operative. We believe him to date from the 1940s/50s.Condition: Overall in fair condition, with some playwear consistent with age, he has no ears ! . Overall his mohair fur is thinning with some significant bald patches. His joints are loose but his claw stitching is manly intact. He shows some signs of old repair his back seam . His pads have little wear As is mentioned above the squeaker inside his tummy is no longer operative.
