Vintage Steiff teddy bear.
20 cm / 8″ Tall
Belonged to my mother who was born in the early 40’s and lived in Germany.
Its possible he was not new when he was given to her so may be older than we think.
As you can see this adorable little bear has been handled a lot and it shows.
The fur is worn especially on his tummy where the squeaker is which still works quite well.
Arms and legs and head are jointed and are still firmly in place and hold their position when moved about.
The button in the ear and both eyes are missing.
There is a small hole in the felt of his mouth and also in the pads on his left hand arm and foot.
