Pedigree Soft Toys was a subsidiary company of the biggest toy company in the world in the 1930 till 1950 : Lines Brothers Ltd. Originally Pedigree was situated in the Tri-ang Works of Lines in Merton, Surrey, England. They began production in 1937 and mad movable toys until the 1950’s.This adorable early ( one of the first made ) happy little bear has the original Pedigree white and red woven ” MADE IN ENGLAND ” label . These are much rarer harder to find bears. His name is “Bramble” He has short golden mohair fur and is stuffed with woodwool / Kapok. He is approximately 17″ tall. He has vertically up nose stitching and a slightly smiling mouth, cupped ears, and his arms taper towards his paws. Paw pads are made of velveteen as is his snout. He has glass eyes and is fully jointed. Red and white “MADE IN ENGLAND ” label stitched at top centre back of hump.Condition : He is in nice play worn condition. This sturdy little chap has manage to retain about 40% of his fur ( a tad threadbare ) He has poses nicely.”Bramble” is very endearing and obviously has been very loved. He is a nice early example. This kind little bear who just oozes charm is looking for his forever home. Type of suitable home he is looking for dolls must be over the age of 50. Can live with other bears. Will need alot of attention on arrival until he settles in. Please study the photos carefully as they form a large part of the description.
