This is a straw-filled teddy bear from the 1930s (comes from the estate of a woman born 1930). This bear is fully jointed with moving arms and legs. There is evidence of wear to the fur but no splits. Pads are shown as bare fabric, as original. Head is all but detached and needs re-connecting to metal plate at top of body. Maker unknown, bears strong resemblance to a Steiff bear but the maker is unknown but presents as typically German straw bear.
Glass eyes and fine smile from black fully-fashioned cord stitched on.
Needs restoration or as a collectible as is.
