Vintage 1930s 42cm Jointed Mohair Teddy Bear This lovely 1930s mohair teddy bear is fully jointed. He has black glass eyes. He is stuffed with kapok with wood wool (straw) in his nose. He has a black stitched nose, but his mouth stitching is missing. He has unusual shaped hand pads and cardboard inserts in his feet pads. We believe the pads themselves to be replacements. He has no maker’s labels or marks, but we believe him to be English made. Condition: Overall fair-good condition, with some playwear consistent with age and use. His mohair fur is thinning and bald in places, particularly to the top and back of his head. He is overall slightly dusty. There are some signs of old repair and re-stitching – to his tummy back seam and to the tops of his limbs. We believe his pads to have been replaced. His mouth stitching and some of his nose stitching is missing. The approx. measurements are as follows:42cm high. (Ref. #7625)
