1930/40s Delightful Chiltern Teddy Bear
Fred the ted is a most charming Chiltern bear, lots of personality and charm, he is in great loved condition, 5 way jointed nice tightly strung joints, poses and sits up alone very well.Glass eyes one has been replaced over the years and his stitched mouth and nose have also been professionally re-done. He is hard stuffed with straw and is very firm. He has long arms and a hump on his back, original paw and feet pads in great condition. A fab bear to add to your collection. He comes in a new hand knitted wool cardi. His mohair is very short and sparse bless him but no tears or repairs. He needs a new place to stay for the next 70 plus years he really is a charming little bear.
