A lovely old Merrythought bear dating to the 30’s/early 40’s with her old label. She has lots of issues & age has taken it’s toll so please be aware of this before bidding. She is 18 inches tall, fully jointed & a mix of woodwool & kapok stuffed. She has lost a lot of mohair and some of the remaining mohair comes out quite easily – it is also a bit of a grey colour in places. 3 of her pads are original with a few small holes and crude stitching ; the 4th has been covered in a red felt. One of her ears has been stitched back on & although ok could be better & she has replacement glass eyes. Despite all of this she is a lovely old bear who could be brought back to life – or left as she is. I have given her a cardigan to wear which suits her & all she needs now in her old age is some tlc & love. Please take a good look at the pictures before bidding – she is far from perfect – but she has lots of Merrythought charm xxx
