Theodore | 1940’s Chiltern Bear
Introducing Teddy! – his Sunday name is Theodore but he’s Teddy to his friends.
Teddy was made by Chiltern, England in the 1940’s making him around 80 years old. He stands around 14inches tall, is fully jointed, and is stuffed with woodwool and kapok.
He’s been loved, and cuddled so as you can see he shows signs of living a life, however he still retains his original glass eyes, original facial and claw stitching and completely intact original pads – which i love! He’s tricky to photograph, he has lost some fur, but he does still have a nice amount of dense mohair remaining so he’s still cuddly!
At some point along the way, one of his favourite small people made sure he was kept warm and cosy, and gave him his very own knitted cardie and Teddy loves it!!!
He’s a cute little bear, and is ready to become someone’s new bear-st friend!
She’s seen here with his daughter Phoebe (listed separaretly), and wife Willow (sold privately prior to listing).
