Saffron -Antique Schuco Bear 1920s-30s German Old Vintage Teddy Hump
Heidi Hi to Saffron! This pretty girlie is a joyous bear, and will bring some sunshine to any teddy hug! She dates to the 1920’s-30’s and was made by the German company Schuco. She’s actually much larger than her photos suggest – standing just under 20inches tall from toe to ear tip. She’s actually pretty rare as most Schuco’s seem to be smaller, sometimes larger but also not really ever such a bright colour!Saffron is fully jointed, completely stuffed with woodwool and has a super cute little working quiet squeaky growler :-). She’s covered in beautiful yellow gold mohair still nice and bright – so she’s clearly been looked after. She has original painted back glass eyes, stitched facial features, stitched claws and felt pads. She has a gorgeous shape to her, kind of almost like an emperor penguin – with a big strong body and neck with rounded hump, with a friendly face – typical of Schuco. She almost seems uptight with her posture – in the sweetest way! I’ve left her without clothes as she’s just so bright and gorgeous it seems a shame to hide away.She’s now hoping for her forever home, and special spot in someone home to bring some cheer and make new memories – could you be her new bearst friend??
